About Us
Fine Furniture, Wood Art and Lighting
At Lightning Wolf Designs, we use our hands, our heads and our hearts to produce fine furniture, wood art and unusual lighting. Located on the forested ridge west of Portland, Oregon, our shop is inspired by gigantic Douglas firs, shady big leaf maples and honest red alders. We sustainably harvest those species from our own wood lot, selecting trees with potential for highly figured grain or because natural causes terminated their growth.
We work on commission only, and take only those commissions that invoke our creativity. Our designs are original, although we work with clients to help project their own personal creative spirit. Our gallery includes only a limited sampling of our work and we generally do not repeat a past design. So if you have a special need or a truly artistic idea, let us know.
Our fees are negotiated with the client for each project, and they go down as our interest goes up. We currently have a back log of about 18 months, but sometimes can accommodate small projects on a shorter schedule.
